About

This is primarily a homeschool blog/journal maintained by one fantastically fortunate StayatHomeSchoolDad.  Husband of 13 years to a beautiful woman who is gracious enough to enable, maintain and support the lifestyle to which the three members of our family have become quite accustomed.  Non-traditional though it may be, it is precisely that which we find so very exciting, exhilerating and liberating.  We believe our lifelstyle choices are providing for a most unique, free, and natural childhood for our only son, a nine-year-old boy herein refered to as “Little Man.”

Our family is much larger than just the three of us humans.  Included in the clan are, in descending order of ageare:  Lefty the Black Lab rescued from a swamp in the Carolina Lowcountry 11 years ago, Cheetah Girl a Calico Domestic Short Hair adopted 3 years ago from a local animal shelter, Momo, originally named “Halloween,” a solid black DSH (age unknown) taken in when she showed up in the neighborhood one year ago and Squeaky or “Squeakman” (as I refer to him) who is Momo’s only kitten.  You guessed it, she was pregnant, unknown to me at the time I relented to my son’s impassioned pleas, when we took her in.  “Greenback” is a rough green snake “wild caught” in our yard two years ago this spring.  That’s it, except for the three dozen or so freshwater fish of various species, mostly guppies.

Thanks for checking out my blog.  I hope you find it worthwhile…

  1. Hey… nice blog! Thanks for the link; I’m glad you enjoy my blog and, apparently, put up with all the non-homeschooling things on it, too.

I’ll put you on my blogreader… though, honestly, I feel responsible to the people I already have on my blogroll; I don’t read them enough as it is, and I’m hesitant to add anyone else.

    Blessings.
